RePete Guidelines

RePete may be used to find NMSU users for unused equipment or supplies that are university-owned.  Property owned by another entity (i.e. individuals, the Federal government, the State of New Mexico) may not be exchanged through RePete.

Surplus equipment and supplies obtained on projects with Federal grant funding are subject to provisions of the Uniform Guidance issued by the government in late 2013.  Particularly, supplies (including untagged property) with an aggregate value of $5,000 or more that remain at the end of a project must be transferred to another Federally-funded project or the Federal government must be compensated.  When listing such items, please check the "Federal Project Only?" box.

All university procedures for property transfer must be followed, including those for tagged property and those governing exchanges involving money.  For further information about specified procedures, please refer to the Property Office section of the Business Procedures Manual.   Forms used in property transfer are linked from the Central Property Forms page
